In a recent collaboration between a Plano, Texas resident and Magnolia Turf, a shaded backyard underwent a remarkable transformation into a green oasis. The ambitious project featured a dual-purpose space with a batting cage for the children, two distinct putting greens, and a designated area for the family dog to roam freely.

The steep gradient posed the risk of rapid erosion, potentially compromising the longevity of the entire project. Additionally, concerns lingered about how the hill's slope might impact the putting green experience for the client.

Planning the Oasis:
Magnolia Turf's team engaged in comprehensive discussions with the client during the planning phase. This involved collecting precise backyard measurements, presenting various turf samples, and recommending a design that seamlessly incorporated all desired elements. The team also provided a detailed estimate, ensuring transparency and alignment with the client's vision.
Magnolia Turf’s Innovative Solution:
Addressing the formidable hill was the first priority for Magnolia Turf. The team meticulously graded and compacted the slope to stave off erosion, setting the stage for a stable foundation.
To enhance the putting green experience, Magnolia Turf's installers artfully manipulated the terrain, reducing slopes to create a more realistic and enjoyable golfing atmosphere.
For the main yard, Spring 65, a top-rated artificial turf product, was installed, ensuring a lush, vibrant appearance. The putting green, however, featured Nylon Putt, an ultra-durable and low-maintenance material tailored to the client's specific needs.
In the batting cages, Magnolia Turf introduced Kid Play, a purpose-built turf material complete with marking lines and a home plate, providing an authentic and safe environment for budding baseball enthusiasts.
